Twelve-year-old Sofia Sakali has continued her winning ways, taking out gold in the 2014 School Sport Australia National Championships under 12 football team.

The Box Hill United player travelled to Bendigo to take part in the five-day competition on October 20, and helped the Victorian girls football team win the category for the first time.

She was also the highest goal scorer of the entire tournament, even scoring a hat-trick in the match against the Northern Territory.
