Several Greek Community organisations have secured Children’s Week Grants, aligning with this year’s theme, “Investing in our future means investing in our children.”

From October 20 to 29, 2023, exciting and free events will unfold, promising a memorable experience for youngsters and families.

Modern Greek Teachers Association of Victoria is gearing up for a Greek Movie Night to transport audiences to Greek cinema’s magic.

3ZZZ Radio is planning an outside broadcast visit to several schools like VSL and Lalor, noted for their Greek programs.

3ZZZ intends to conduct six school visits and host open days.

The Cretans will have an Open Day featuring Greek Costumes, Greek Dance lessons, and a showcase of traditional Greek musical instruments, promising an immersive cultural experience.

Pan Epirotics will bring the essence of Greece to public libraries with Karagiozi and Kalamatiano and will offer three dance lessons. They also intend to present three Karagiozi plays for Greek Story Time. With a mix of time slots, including those outside school hours, they aim to make these accessible options for primary school children.

Greek Australian Cultural League invites young minds to join their ‘kyklopes’ program, encompassing art and craft, science, and music, all centred around the theme, “The Eyes Have It – Cyclops.”

Children’s Week events will celebrate and nurture the Greek community’s young talents.
