Greek-Australian racer Aaron Zerefos is returning to Australia to attend this weekend’s Bathurst 1000 event, making his way back to the country after competing in a racing event in America that featured around 91,000 spectators.
Mr Zerefos expressed his excitement about being back in Australia and attending the Bathurst 1000 race this weekend.
“It’s great to be back and attend Australia’s motor racing Grand Final. Bathurst has become an iconic motor racing circuit for all drivers around the globe and this year’s race is going to be very competitive featuring the new Gen 3 Cars,” the Sydney racer told Neos Kosmos.
The Sydney racer and businessman is back in Australia after having competed last weekend at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7 event held at the internationally acclaimed Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey County, California in the USA.

Mr Zerefos drove a vintage 1970 Porsche 91, a vehicle he was invited to drive, in front of an attendance of roughly 91, 000 spectators.
The event gathered numerous racing icons and Porsche enthusiasts, with spectators able to witness an assortment of Porsches, ranging from historic to brand-new racing cars, race along the Laguna Seca circuit.
“Porsche Rennsport was created to celebrate the racing history of Porsche. They envisioned an event at which drivers, enthusiasts and historians could gather to celebrate racing and pay tribute to the men and woman and cars that have helped built the Porsche Legacy,” he said.

“The Raceway Laguna Seca was the perfect setting for this event, which attracted some of the world’s best drivers, including Australian F1 Racer Mark Webber”.
The event also involved several presentations, technology workshops, and autograph sessions.
The Bathurst 1000 takes place this weekend and will be broadcast live on Channel 7, along with Fox Sports and on the Kayo streaming service.
