‘The Faros’ Greek Senior Club in Mt Waverley, Melbourne, recently held a Christmas Celebration to wind down the year.
Over 80 people were in attendance, and were entertained by traditional Greek songs and Christmas carols by Anthea Sidiropoulos.
Some of the notable guests included parliament members Dr Carina Garland Member for Chishom and Matt Fregon Member for Ashwood.

Brian Little Deputy Mayor of Monash City Council was also present at the Christmas Celebration.
Garland took to social media to share her experience.
“I had the most wonderful Christmas lunch with the Greek Association of the Elderly ‘The Faros’,” she said on Facebook.

“It was lovely to sing Christmas carols, eat delicious food and spend time together. Thank you for your warm hospitality and kindness. Merry Christmas! Καλά Χριστούγεννα!”
She thanked Rev. Steven Kasambalis for the invitation.

Long-time members at Faros Club Ps Stathis and Violetta were thanked for their long services with gifts presented by the board, former president Marianthi Stamatopoulou and current President of the Club Nikos Makris.
