Christos Dantis will kick off his Australian tour with a performance at Adelaide’s Semaphore Greek Festival, ‘Bouzoukia by the Sea,’ on January 12, before he takes the stage for two shows in Melbourne on January 13 and 20, at Kinisi at Trak.
The tour will then move on to Sydney for the third show on Friday January 19.
The one-night event ‘Bouzoukia by the Sea,’ promises a festive start to the new year with delightful Greek tunes, infusing the scenic beauty of Adelaide’s coastal charm with a vibrant Hellenic atmosphere.
Since his debut in the late 1980s, Christos Dantis has evolved into a beloved figure in the Greek music scene, capturing the hearts of audiences with his talent and charm.
Starting his musical journey in his teenage years, he grew into a widely acclaimed artist, producing hits like “To Palio Mou Palto” and “Ena Tragoudi Akoma.”
His chart-topping success began with the release of a video-clip collaboration with Greek new-wave and pop artist Polina titled “Push-ups,” establishing him not only as a musical sensation but also as a sex symbol.

In 1990, he released his first solo album, “Dahtilika Apotypomata,” featuring music and lyrics written by Giannis Karalis, which went on to become platinum.
Karalis and Dantis formed a lasting friendship, collaborating for two decades.
In 1991, Dantis released the golden album “Aman,” which was also distributed in four European countries with remixes, while the album’s video clips gained international exposure on MTV and MCM, featuring live performances and an interview with Steve Blame, the presenter of MTV.
Christos Dantis first delved into folk songs in 1993 with the album “Ala.” A year later, he introduced his most recognised pop-rock album to date, titled “4.”
The album achieved gold status, and the song “Kapoios S’ Agapaei” made another appearance on MTV.
In 1999, Christos Dantis reached the peak of his success in Greece with the release of the gold-selling album “To Palio Mou Palto,” and in May 2003 he teamed up with Giorgos Theofanous for the album “Ena Tragoudi Akoma.”
Among his memorable hits are also “Prodosia” and “Maya Maya.”
In 2005, he co-wrote the lyrics for the song “My Number One” with Natalia Germanou, which was performed by Elena Paparizou and won the first place in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Over the years, Dantis has collaborated with legendary Greek artists like Dimitris Mitropanos, Costas Tournas, Paschalis Terzis, among others.
In recent times, he has explored his passion for blues and rock, releasing remixes and covers of classic American and English hits.
