Greek Australian songwriter and dance music performer VASSY has welcomed 2024 with a new song release.

‘Off Switch’ is out along with its official music video and the artist says she feels “excited to finally share this special song with the world.”

The song has already been performed live during a recently concluded tour with iconic pop group Aqua, where VASSY joined as a special guest.

“The crowds loved it and asked ‘when is the song coming out’. It made me happy to get such a good reaction on a song,” VASSY said.

The world-renowned Danish-Norwegian Europop band, widely known for their 1997 hit ‘Barbie Girl’, wrapped up their Live Nation tour with VASSY in Los Angeles at the prestigious Wiltern Theatre.

“It was epic! I had a blast on tour with AQUA as their special guest. We did 20 cities around the US and let me tell you they have some of the best fans I have ever seen and they embraced me for which I am grateful.”

Since moving to the US, Darwin-born Vassy Karagiorgos has embarked on an international career as a self-made electronic dance music artist, managing to stand out as a prominent representative in a male-dominated industry.

Collaborations with performers and DJs of the likes of David Guetta and Tiesto have taken her hits straight to the top of the US Dance charts.

Recent career milestones of VASSY include joining the ‘APRA AMCOS’ 1 billion streams list in 2020 for her collaboration with David Guetta and Dutch duo Showtek, titled ‘Bad’. Most recently she made history by becoming the first woman to win the EDMA ICON Award.

Australian fans can catch VASSY at the upcoming BASSINTHEGRASS Music Festival in her hometown, Darwin, in May 2024.
