The first few weeks have seen a minimal number of registrations from Greeks in Australia and New Zealand to participate in the upcoming European elections, with only 72 people having done so thus far.
The number of registrations is as up to date as Tuesday, with the application link having been activated on Monday, February 19.
The link, available at epistoliki.ypes.gov.gr, has gained lots of traction from citizens wishing to register in the electoral rolls and exercise their right to vote from their homes.
This is notably the only avenue for Greeks abroad to be able to vote in the upcoming European elections, with registrations from the diaspora coming from Europe (3,476), USA and Canada (361) and Asia (88).
According to the new data that has been released, the total registrations have reached 14,588 of which 72.4 per cent comes from people living in Greece and 27.6 per cent coming from people living outside Greece.
A large percentage of registrations have come from people aged 41-60 (46.8 per cent) while 59.7 per cent have been men (8,709) and 40.3 per cent have been women (5,879).
The postal voting platform to register will remain open for Greek citizens until April 29.
