Global professional services company GHD has named Jim Giannopoulos as its new Chief Executive Officer, in an announcement on 2 April.

Giannopoulos, who previously served as CEO of GHD Americas, will succeed Ashley Wright, marking a planned transition within the employee-owned company’s leadership.

Giannopoulos brings over 30 years of experience with GHD, having held various leadership roles across different regions, including Australia, Asia, Canada, and the United States.

Based in Melbourne, Giannopoulos is a Chartered Professional Engineer, a Fellow of Engineers Australia, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Giannopoulos was honoured to take up the role which was fostered and nurtured from within the company ranks.

GHD, founded in 1928 and privately owned, operates across more than 160 offices worldwide, with over 11,000 professionals delivering advisory, digital, engineering, architecture, environmental, and construction solutions to both public and private sector clients.
