Oakleigh Grammar unveiled its new entertainment and relaxation space, ‘The Caf’, on Tuesday 21 May. Since its soft opening in February, ‘The Caf’ has quickly become a popular hangout for both staff and students.
The official inauguration was led by the Home Affairs and Cyber Security minster Clare O’Neil.
In her speech at the inauguration, minister O’Neil highlighted the importance of such spaces in educational settings.
Supported by parents, staff, and students, it is set to play a pivotal role in daily school life, providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all.
Principal Mark Robertson and School Council President Chris Damatopoulos hosted the event.
Among the distinguished guests were Monash City councillor Theo Zographos, school council Vice President George Giannaros, former Oakleigh Grammar principals Con Papadopoulos and Steve Charisis, as well as current and former school council members and representatives from the Parents and Guardians Association.
