At the Term 3 commencement assembly, Principal Mark Robertson announced Oakleigh Grammar’s acceptance as a Candidate School for Round Square, a highly-regarded global association of member schools.
Round Square’s philosophy, built on the six IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service, aligns with Oakleigh Grammar’s values of Humility, Aspiration, Respect, and Kindness.
As a Candidate School, Oakleigh Grammar will integrate Round Square principles into daily life over the next two years, working towards Global Membership.
Oakleigh Grammar will attend the Round Square World Conference in Bogota, Colombia, in September, with Principal Mark Robertson, a staff member, and two students representing the school.
The inclusion will enhance Oakleigh Grammar’s educational program, complementing its status as a Leader in Me Lighthouse school and an International Baccalaureate World School.
