The 2024 Paris Olympics marks an historic development for Australian viewers with the introduction of international, multilanguage coverage, among which is Greek.

The development is the product of the work between CulturalPulse and Stan Sport, which has led to the addition of eight different language channels.

It represents an Australian first and crucially affords Greek Australian audiences the ability to consume all their Olympics content in the Greek language.

The channels will feature local hosted coverage and shows on the Olympics from Eurosport.

The official channel from Greece will be streamed ad-free, live and on demand exclusively on Stan Sport for the entire Games.

“This is a great opportunity for the Greek Australian community to watch the Olympic Games in the Greek language with a focus on athletes from Greece,” said Nick G Pappas AM, Chairperson of the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Stan Chief Executive Officer Martin Kugeler stated they feel pride as they “bring this world first to our audience”.

“Thanks to the support from the IOC and the great partners of Eurosport, Viacom18 and Sky New Zealand, Stan Sport will bring curated official international channels in multiple languages, making the Olympics accessible to even more Australians than ever before.”

To access the Greek channel, people will need to have a Stan account while also adding the Stan Sport package.
