We are now on day four of the Olympic Games in Paris and it’s been full of scenes of intense emotions and great Olympic moments for many nations.
Japan lead the way so far with seven gold medals, two silver and four bronze, followed by China and Australia to round out the top three.
Third placed Australia have performed well thus far with six gold, four silver and a bronze, while host country France follow in fourth with five gold medals.
As expected, the pool has been the favourable to the Aussies, with four of the gold medals coming from swimming events. The other two were from rowing and road cycling.
The US are in sixth but have the most total medals with 26, while Greece and Cyprus are yet to win a medal at this stage.
Forty-three different nations have won a medal.
