Three new clerical and administrative positions at the Greek Consulate of Sydney, are in the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs with a full-time, private law, fixed-term, two-year, renewable employment contract. These new positions are full-time, fixed-term, two-year, renewable, temporary contract.
According to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these three posts are full-time, private, fixed-term, two-year, renewable contracts.
The deadline for application is Friday, 20 September 2024.
The clerical positions and administrative support officer, monthly salary is EUR 2,900 ($4,785 AUD) – considering exchange rates.
The duties for the clerical posts include, but are not limited to, reception of the public, working in the call centre and providing secretarial support to the various departments of the Consulate General.
For the Administrative Support Officer position, duties include, but are not limited to, research, translating economic articles/texts from English to Greek and vice versa, statistical work, presentations, typing and word processing, assisting the Head of the Sydney Economic and Commercial Affairs Office and anything else as indicated by Management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1) be a permanent resident of Australia, of Greek or other nationality.
2) be between 21 and 60 years of age, whether a Greek or Greek national or an Australian citizen; 2) be between 21 and 60 years of age.
3) [If male Greek citizens]: have completed their military service or have been legally discharged from military service.
4) have a clean criminal record.
5) have an excellent knowledge of Greek and English.
6) have computer skills.
7) have previous experience in a similar position or experience in related duties.
For the position of Administrative Support Officer a relevant university degree will be considered an additional qualification. For clerical posts, it is noted that candidates’ experience and/or willingness to contribute to the functioning of the Authority with additional tasks, such as secretarial/administrative support, organisation of events, etc., as appropriate, will be considered positively. Any other qualifications, such as a degree or other qualifications, will also be considered.
