Hundreds of Melburnians gathered at KIA Arena to honour Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s visit marking 100 years of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in Australia.

Students from Melbourne’s Greek schools and youth groups participated in the parade which was attended by officials, clergy and Greek Community embers.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was also present alongside President of the Greek Community of Melbourne Bill Papastergiadis, Consul General of Greece Emmanuel Kakavelakis, Ambassador of Greece to Australia Stavros Venizelos among others.

Pegasus Dance Academy paraded in traditional Cypriot attire to commemorate 50 years since the Turkish invasion.
