The Greek Community Home for the Aged will host a Great Aussie Cultural BBQ for this year’s Australia Day in an event open to all as they honour and celebrate the country’s rich multiculturalism.

The Home, which is part of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, will hold the BBQ on Sunday 26 January at their premises from 11am-4pm with a full day of festivities planned.

The event will begin with a First Nations Welcome to Country ceremony to honour the traditional custodians of the land.

Live entertainment will be organised to reflect Australia’s diversity, featuring traditional Greek, Italian, and Arabic music and dance to showcasing the cultural fabric of the country.

The BBQ will also include a list of cultural foods on offer, creating a feast that celebrates Australia’s multiculturalism.

The event is open to the public with people of all backgrounds encouraged to attend and celebrate the values of respect, inclusion, and community.
