The A-League Women’s finals are here, with two elimination finals on Sunday.

Central Coast Mariners play Canberra United while Adelaide United take on Western United.

The Mariners should be full of confidence heading into their match, coming off a 2-1 comeback win in the final round.

They’ve also won three of their last five matches, hitting form at the right time as they face another in-form side in Canberra, who themselves have won three-straight heading into this final.

Recent history between them sees three wins to the Mariners and a draw.

Adelaide are the big story of this season, rising from wooden spoon to third-place in 12 months.

The Reds have also had a home elimination final locked for weeks because of their consistent form.

This will be just their second final in club history as they search for their first finals win too.

Western meanwhile could have been hosting an elimination final had they not drawn last week.

There is concern for them though, as they have won just two of their last seven matches and have the worst defensive record of the finals contenders.

Not a good sign against a deadly Adelaide forward line.

Head-to-head on recent times sees Western with three wins in five games (one draw), so that will give them some confidence.
