The Greek Orthodox Community of Whittlesea’s Women’s Group celebrated Greek Easter in Australia with heartfelt joy, traditional sweets, and milestone moments.
President of the Greek Orthodox Community of Whittlesea, Kris Pavlidis was in attendance, while President of the Women’s Group Helen Koukoulas brought festive cheer to 65 members by donning an Easter Bunny outfit and handing out chocolate eggs.
A cherished part of the celebration included the traditional red egg game, tsougrisma, along with homemade tsourekia and koulourakia.
Members exchanged family recipes and shared stories about Easter rituals in their homes and local parishes, keeping the cultural spirit alive across generations.
The day was made even more special with 80th birthday celebrations for the group’s Treasurer, Spiridoula, and member Eleni Argyriou.
