State League 1 – North-West Group

The Greek-Australian sides in the North-West Group had a mixed bag of results last weekend. The standout clash was the “civil war” between Clifton Hill and Western Suburbs. Both teams threw everything into the contest, scrapping tooth and nail for the win, but had to settle for a point each. The 1–1 score line left a bitter taste for both camps. This week, Clifton Hill head to Corio, while Panellinios travel to Keilor Lodge Reserve to face Sydenham Park.

Westvale Olympic kept their momentum with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Sydenham Park. The Greek-Australian side now gear up for another “blue-and-white” derby, taking on Yarraville away.

Doxa Yarraville, however, are in a rut. The historic club suffered a bruising 3–0 away loss to Banyule City, leaving their confidence battered ahead of their derby clash with Westvale Olympic.

State League 1 – South-East Group

The match between Aris and Malvern City was postponed due to the tragic passing of Jim Tsikarlis, a beloved member of Springvale’s Greek community and the Aris football club. This week, Aris travel to face Hampton East Brighton, while Malvern City host Brandon Park.

Bayside Argonauts pulled off a cracking 3–2 win away at Collingwood City. The Argonauts played scintillating football, showing ruthless efficiency in front of goal. This weekend, they face a stern test at home against the tough-as-nails Mornington.

State League 2 – North-West Group

Altona East Phoenix continued their impressive run with a 2–0 away win over Geelong Rangers. The “black-and-whites” were too strong, leaving their opponents in their wake. This week, PAOK take on ladder-leaders Lalor United at home in a derby that could shake up the standings.

Mill Park, however, endured a painful 3–2 home defeat to Albion Rovers. The “Pigeons” fought hard but had luck against them. They’ll look to bounce back away at Whittlesea Rangers this round.

State League 2 – South-East Group

Bentleigh United Cobras grabbed a vital 2–1 away win against Doncaster Rovers, giving them a much-needed breather in the standings. This Saturday, the Cobras return home to face Casey Comets at 3pm.

Chisholm United were hit with a nine-point deduction, dropping them to 10th in the table. Last week, they suffered a 3–1 home loss to St Kilda. This round, they travel to take on North Caulfield.

State League 3 – South-East Group

Waverley Wanderers stormed past Rowville Eagles like a tornado, smashing four goals while conceding just one. AEK played attractive yet clinical football, and this week, the “Double-Headed Eagle” host Heatherton United.

State League 4 – East Group

East Kew’s Olympiacos couldn’t get the job done against Mount Waverley, falling 2–1 despite a spirited effort. The “red-and-whites” face another away test this week, taking on Manningham Juventus.

State League 4 – North Group

AEK Keon Park stayed hot on the heels of Melbourne University with a 1–0 win over Glenroy Lions. The “yellow-and-blacks” now face Moonee Valley Knights away.

West Preston held firm in seventh with a 0–0 draw against Watsonia Heights and will travel to face Glenroy Lions this round. Moreland United’s match against Darebin United was postponed due to an unplayable pitch. This week, Apollon take on Thornbury Athletic away.
