The PRONIA family is in mourning after the unexpected death of 36-year-old Mary Kalona, who served as an important member of the group.
Kalona, a wife and mother of two children, passed away on 10 June and her funeral will take place on Thursday 19 June at The Transfiguration of Our Lord – Greek Orthodox Church Of Thomastown.
PRONIA issued the following statement regarding her death:
“Warmest condolences for the loss of a member of our team at PRONIA
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved colleague, Mary Kalona, who tragically passed away on June 10, 2025.
Mary was a valued member of the PRONIA team – a dedicated and compassionate professional whose presence left an indelible mark on her colleagues. As a Case Manager, she brought warmth and unwavering dedication to her role and the people she served. Her contributions to our organization and the wider community will not be forgotten.
Her loss is felt by our entire team and our thoughts are with her husband Arthur, her children Michaela and Christopher, her parents Michalis and Fotoula and her brother Stephen at this extremely difficult time.
We express our sincere condolences and support as we mourn the loss of a special young woman whose life was taken too soon.
May she rest in peace.”
