The General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, in collaboration with the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (ΑΑΔΕ), will host an online workshop for Hellenes abroad on various financial issues, particularly related to tax.
The workshop will take place on Thursday 10 July 2025 at 12-2am (AEST) and will be held in English, detailing topics related to tax procedures and incentives, the use of taxisnet, the ways of online transactions with the State (e.g. payments), issues of relocation, starting a business in Greece, etc.
The workshop will be addressed by the Secretary General of Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Maira Myrogianni, and the Governor of ΑΑΔΕ, Giorgos Pitsilis.
In particular, the workshop will cover the following topics:
- Registration in the tax register
- Tax residence for individuals
- Transferring tax residency from Greece abroad
- Alternative Taxation
- Customs Exemptions Relating to the Transfer of Residence to Greece
- Cash Reserves
- Income categories and income taxation in Greece
- Taxation of Greek sourced income for Non-Residents
- Taxation of non-Greek sourced income for Greek Tax Residents
- Property Taxation
- Ways to transact online with ΑΑΔΕ
- Starting a business in Greece
