With an 89-40 win over Romania, Greece has moved through to the Round of 16 of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket in Heraklion.
On top of Group B, Greece is one of four teams to get through the group stage undefeated.
The first half was enough for the “blue and white” team to secure a safe lead.
With a clear focus on defence, the Greek team limited the Romanians to 14 points until the 20th minute, when they shot the difference at the break to an irreversible +33 (47-14).
In the 31st minute the difference skyrocketed to +40 (68-28), with Touliatos giving maximum value of 6.75 in the 38th minute (+51, 86-35).
Andreas Patrikis was the leading scorer with 19 points (3/3 three-pointers) and six rebounds, while Emilios Rozakis added 10 points and Lefteris Liotopoulos added another 10.
Next up in the Round of 16 they will face Finland, who finished fourth in Group A with a record of 0-3.
