Multi-platinum singer/songwriter VASSY has been named in the top 10 of ‘The 50 Greatest Australian Electronic Acts of All Time’ by Rolling Stone AU/NZ.
The LA-based Greek Australian music artist secured ninth spot in the list and was notably the only woman (top 10), only Greek and only artist from Darwin.
“I’m deeply honoured — this is such a huge moment for me,” VASSY told Neos Kosmos.
“To be the only woman, the only Greek, and the only artist from Darwin makes it even more special.
“It’s not just a personal milestone, it’s a reminder that no matter where you come from, your voice and your art can travel far.
“I’m so proud to represent my roots and show that dreams, even from the most remote part of Australia, can reach the world. I know my Dad would be proud.”
The accolade caps off a milestone year for VASSY — from making history as the first female and first Australian to win the EDMA Icon Award, to headlining at World Pride Sydney, to scoring eight Billboard No.1 dance hits and surpassing three billion global streams with hit collaborations alongside David Guetta and Tiësto.

This year also marks the 10-year anniversary of her and Tiësto’s song ‘Secrets’.
Since its release, the song has reached No.1 in over 30 countries, achieved 10× Platinum status worldwide, and is RIAA Gold certified in the US.
Now VASSY and DJ/producer Tigerlily have come together to reimagine the global hit, which released today Friday August 15.
“This year marks a milestone anniversary for ‘Secrets’ and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate it,” VASSY said.
“The fans have been asking me for years for another big EDM moment and the love for this song has been so strong since the day it was released.”
She said it’s even more special to be doing it alongside another Australian female artist.
“I’m beyond grateful to breathe new life into this track and keep people dancing to it all these years later.”
