PRONIA officially unveiled its new offices in Oakleigh, at 37 Portman Street, with an inauguration ceremony.
It is PRONIA’s first major building investment since its headquarters in Brunswick in 1996, marking a significant new chapter in the organisation’s history.
The new building was acquired by PRONIA in 2020 and underwent a complete renovation to create a modern, purpose-built space that reflects the organisation’s values: accessibility, cultural responsiveness, and person-centred care.
The inauguration ceremony brought together a large crowd, from the Board of Directors, staff and collaborating organisations, to community leaders and top State representatives.
Among those present include the following:
– Clare O’Neil, Federal Minister for Housing, and for Homelessness
– Steve Dimopoulos, State MP for Oakleigh
– State Senator Lee Tarlamis MLC, Representative for the South-Eastern Metropolitan Region
– Paul Klisaris, Mayor of Monash
– Viv Nguyen AM, Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Commission
– The Honourable Justice Emilios Kyrou, Patron of PRONIA
– George Lekakis, Chair of the Victorian Multicultural Review
– Constable Perry Kapsakis, Victorian Hellenic Police Association
– Tom Symondson, CEO, Aged & Community Care Providers Association
– Fotini Kypraios, Chair, Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry
