State League 1 – North-West

Westvale Olympic were the big winners in the derby against Doxa Yarraville, thumping them 4-1. For the penultimate round of the season, Olympic will play away at Corio while Doxa will host Sydenham Park aiming for a win to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Clifton Hill ran riot against Corio. The Greek Australian side gifted their visitors three goals, locking in a win that pushed them to sixth in the table. This week Hill will play away at Brimbank Stallions.

Panellinios suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Sydenham Park. This weekend the Greek Australian side will be tested away at Ballarat City.

State League 1 – South-East

Celebrations all round in Malvern. The local City side with their 1-4 away win over Brandon Park sealed the golden ticket to VPL2. A huge success that has filled the loyal fans of the historic club with pride. This week City will celebrate promotion at home when they host Gippsland United.

Bayside Argonauts missed a big chance to seal promotion to VPL2 last weekend. The final 1-1 against third-placed Mornington didn’t allow the Greek-Australian side to secure it two rounds before the end of the season. This week the Argonauts will play away at Hampton East Brighton.

Aris and Hampton East Brighton drew 1-1 last weekend. This week the yellow-and-blacks will travel to Brandon Park Reserve to play against Mazenod.

State League 2 – North-West

It was a rough weekend for the Greek-Australian sides in the North-West group of State League 2. Altona East Phoenix went down 3-0 to Lalor United at the same time as Mill Park suffered a 0-2 home defeat. This week PAOK will host Williamstown and Park will play away at Dallas City.

State League 2 – South-East

Bentleigh United Cobras continue to struggle. Last weekend the Cobras went down 3-2 to Skye United. This week the yellow-and-blacks will host Noble Park United.

Chisholm United continued their run with a 2-2 home draw against North Caulfield. This week the Oakleigh outfit will host Mooroolbark.

State League 3 – South-East

Heatherton United and Waverley Wanderers drew 3-3 last weekend, but that doesn’t matter for the Greek-Australian side, who with that single point sealed promotion to State League 2 on paper. For Round 21, AEK will host table-toppers Dandenong South in a match that could decide the title.

State League 4 – East

East Kew secured a 4-3 home win over Manningham Juventus. This week the red-and-whites will play away at Kings Domain.

State League 4 – North

Keon Park grabbed a big win to keep themselves in the promotion hunt last weekend. The yellow-and-blacks edged Moonee Valley Knights 3-2. This week Keon Park will be tested away at West Preston in an all-Greek derby full of blue-and-white colours.

West Preston head into the derby with morale sky-high after beating Glenroy Lions 7-1 last weekend.

Darebin United continued their run with a 2-2 draw against Thornbury Athletic. This week the Greek-Australian side will play away at Fawkner.
