Young Sydney teenager Aleksander Kandiliotis has passed away following a battle with a rare and aggressive adult colon cancer.
The 14-year-old passed away on Wednesday night (27 August) having fought the disease three times since he was first diagnosed at 11.
The news was told to Neos Kosmos by Aleksander’s uncle Peter, his dad’s brother, who is devastated.
In February Neos Kosmos reported that the family had set up a GoFundMe to help with costs of treatment as all options in Australia had been exhausted.
The family said then that all he wanted to do is go to high school but he hadn’t been well enough for school for a long time.
