Monday was an exciting day for Victorian Supreme Court Judge Emilios Kyrou, with the launch of his autobiography in the Greek language.
Over 100 people gathered at the Hellenic Museum’s Pavillion, where the Greek edition of Call Me Emilios was introduced by Melbourne’s Greek Australian Cultural League president, Cathy Alexopoulos.
Also taking part in the anticipated event were Melbourne’s Greek Consul General Christina Simantiraki, along with Ambassador of Greece in Australia Haris Dafaranos and his wife Eva, who in their address praised Kyrou’s vision.
The Greek translation of the text was completed by Georgia Dimopoulou, who happens to be a third generation Greek Australian.
Judge Kyrou’s parents, Stella and John, were also present at the launch, both appearing to be very proud and moved by the evening’s events.
