Christian Theoharous has signed a one-year contract extension with Central Coast Mariners, set to play on for a fourth year with the club.

The 25-year-old arrived at the Mariners in January 2023 and since has played in back-to-back A-League Championships, as well as a historic treble win in 2023/24.

Last season saw Theoharous surpass 50 A-League appearances for Central Coast, having played 83 total, scoring six goals.

“I’m very happy to have signed for another season with the Mariners,” the Greek-Cypriot Australian said in a club announcement.

“As a group, everyone is determined to push forward after last season, and I am looking forward to playing my part in that.

“I can’t wait to see the fans at Our Paradise again next month.”

Head Coach Mark Jackson is also happy to have someone of his ability re-signed for the upcoming season.

“It is great for the club to have Christian resigned for another season,” he said.

“His experience and ability will be vital in the coming season, and he will be ready to have a big impact on the team.”
