Young Taekwondo star Lucas Mamonitis has capped off a stellar 2025 season with his third national title.

On Saturday 4 October at the Australian Taekwondo National Championships in Adelaide, Lucas took home the gold in the Black belt under 49kg Cadet division.

Lucas was happy to end the Australian tour undefeated and won gold at every competition.

He said winning Gold at the National Championships was the “icing on the cake and couldn’t ask for a better result”.

He also wanted to thank all his coaches from Royal Empire Martial Arts in Reservoir and especially his older brother Evan for guiding and coaching him to an “unbelievable performance throughout the year”.

– ASMA Sydney Open

– Sydney Taekwondo Festival (two)

– Melbourne State Championships

– Oceania Presidents Cup

– Australian Open

– Taekwondo Champions League

– National Championships

He also competed at the World Championships in Fujairah, UAE, reaching the Round of 16 and nominated for Junior Athlete of the Year.

Next up Lucas will compete at the Croatia Open this November.
