In a bid to explore the big issues facing business in Australia, the AFR Workforce & Productivity Summit will be taking place next month.
Hosted at Melbourne’s Sofitel hotel, some of the nation’s most insightful and influential figures will be coming together in a series of keynotes, interviews and group discussions, including Medibank Private CEO George Savvides and Michael Vavakis, Lend Lease’s group head of HR.
One of the most urgent and important policy issues facing Australians today is the need to boost productivity growth; an issue that is proving to be complex, challenging and divisive.
If the right steps are not implemented for the future at government, industry and business levels, Australia’s living standards could be at stake.
Topics for discussion over the two-day summit include ‘Global megatrends shaping the future of work’; ‘Tapping the growth and productivity potential of parents and carers, older workers, youth, and the long-term unemployed’; ‘Are our education and training paradigms in sync with the needs of the future workplace?’; and ‘Recruitment, retention and performance management in the future world of work’, among others.
More than 200 business leaders, policy-makers, academics and stakeholder groups are expected to attend what will be the year’s highest-level independent forum on productivity and workforce participation.
The AFR Workforce & Productivity Summit will take place on 8-9 December 2015 at the Sofitel Melbourne. AHRI Members are entitled to bring a colleague for free when registering a full price ticket. Use the code AHRI when registering to activate the offer.
