The brand ‘Parrice’ is pronounced Paris [Pah-rEEs], just like the name of its creator, Paris Karnezis, who has spread his love for art and architecture from University College London to Greece by creating a resort puzzle of flat sandals, mainly inspired by the aura of the archaic era.
The new collection by Parrice emphasises in ornate laser cut patterns and introduces a new concept in lace from leather. Ancient geometric patterns and martial influences coexist harmoniously with the feminine colour shades of sun-blushed rose gold.
Hand-embroidered symbols onto transparent rette surfaces and luxury finishes compose the collection and make the ultimate Mediterranean scenery.
This is actually the first collection for the 25-year-old-designer, who left architecture to embellish women’s legs with ancient Greek masterpieces, but he has more projects in the works.
When, 18 months ago, Paris decided to leave his job to pursue a career in fashion, he could never have imagined his collection would become such a success.
Even before he had enough designs for sampling, his laser-cut leather sandals had already booked a place on the shelves of the most prestigious Italian boutiques.
Folli Follie was the first to supply Parrice to the Italian market.

Paris’ first collection consists of six pieces which have already sold on Yoox.com, one of the most popular high-end online stores worldwide.
Not long afterwards, Greece and Enny Di Monaco boutique in Mykonos followed. More islands joined.
His designs are classic, yet ideal for the modern woman; comfortable and stylish without being overly loud.
Paris has also prepared a simple but elaborate capsule bag collection for the Enny Di Monaco stores to match the sandals.
“The leather resembles lace, just like the sandals and comes in two basic colours. There is nothing more fashionable than the combination of a beautiful pair of sandals with a bag. The result is elegant, fresh and summery,” he explains
“I do not want to be just another shoe designer, but [I want] to make a difference through my ideas and quality of the final product.”
Parrice will for now remain a summer label, as the young creative believes Greek style is the perfect representative of blue waters and white sandy beaches even on the other side of the Atlantic.
“I’m currently planning on crossing our narrow European borders through my e-shop, as there has been a lot of interest from several coutries,” Paris adds.
“I feel that creating a resort collection that is only worn in summer is the way to go at the moment and this is the reason we have turned to Australia.
“When sunny weather leaves Europe, it favours the southern hemisphere and countries like Australia.”
