Paradise Club is one of the biggest nightclubs on the Greek island of Mykonos, and one of the most famous dance venues in Europe.
Mykonos hosts tens of thousands of diehard party-goers annually from across the globe.
The most high profile DJs in the world play there every summer, with the bill often including some of the best home grown talent from Oz; TV Rock, Dirty South and John Course to name just a few.
In keeping with dance anthem tradition, the nightclub has released its first definitive summer house selection on CD, which promises to shape the party island’s soundtrack in 2010.
The compilation album is mixed by glamorous Italian DJ, Cristian Marchi, who regularly plays at Paradise Club during the summer months as a special guest.
The album has perfected the typical European summer clubbing experience, including everything from house to tech house, and of course main room bombs from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Fedde Le Grand, Axwell and Afro Jack.
Marchi is a professional DJ, remixer and producer, who has established himself an honourable reputation in the global club scene. He started his musical career as DJ more than two decades ago in his hometown, Mantova.
Today, he is one of the most requested guest DJs in all of the top Italian clubs. Marchi has a deep musical background and is most famous for his original sound and especially for his technical abilities in mixing.
He always focuses on the dancefloor, with a main objective of building the atmosphere; he endeavours to offer his audience a unique experience through music. Marchi’s style has evolved over the years to land at the electro-house genre, which he often combines with progressive and tribal elements, as well as vocal contributions.
Earlier this year, we had a chat with club owner Thomas Heyne about the pending Euro summer and his ties to the nightclubbing scene in Australia; Melbourne in particular. Heyne described his desire to keep the Aussies happy at Paradise Club, given the fact that almost 60 per cent of clients visiting the venue during May, June and July come from Australia.
This year Paradise Club celebrates its sixth birthday and will host a number of themed parties to celebrate: Hed Kandi, Ministry of Sound and Absolut Vodka are all on board.
Paradise Club Mykonos Volume One will be in stores on July 9, and available for iTunes purchase as of July 13.
Stay tuned to Spice next week for details on the Australian CD launch party to take place at Paradise Club’s Australian ally Alumbra Nightclub in Melbourne.
