Musical director Dr Demeter Tsounis will arrange a night of music focusing on Byzantine, folkloric, and urban songs.

Dance groups will perform the best Floriniotikia traditional dances.

Pallaconian Brotherhood dance group will host their second Tsiola Awards in October.

The event will have a rich music and dance program will take place with the presentation of many Serbian and Greek dance groups from Sydney.

Sotiris Tragianopoulos will be on clarinet, Thomas Missios on trumpet, John Kostarakis on lute and vocals, Joseph Tsombanopoulos on gaida, lyra, kaval and percussion.

The event will feature Greek dancing performances from the Nassibian Dancers.

Greek singer Nikos Ganos will be in Australia on September 27.

Emeritus Prof. John Melville Jones, from Classics and Ancient History department, from The University of Western Australia will give the lecture.

AHEPA’s national convention will be held in South Austraila’s Barossa Valley.

The lecture will look at the social and cultural factors which helped shape the creation of the Homeric epics.
