Olympiakos have restored their ead at the top of the Super League as PAOK and AEK kept up the race for third place.

Panathinaikos and Larissa emerged victorious from the two matches played in the Greek Superleague yesterday.

Larissa fans attacked their club’s coach and held the Larissa team hostage for five hours after their 3-0 loss to Atromitos.

Olympiakos and Aris win while AEK and PAOK held to draws with the commecement of the Greek Superleague in 2011.

Panathinaikos returned to the winners list with their victory away in Xanthi while Aris and Atromitos also won their matches.

Six clubs have advanced to the next round of the Greek Cup while four clubs who drew their matches will need to go to a replay in the new year.

Olympiakos have a five-point lead over Panathinaikos at the halfway point in the Super League after beating last-placed Larissa on Sunday.

Olympiakos Volou were shock winners over PAO, Egotelis triumphed over Panserriakos and the other two matches played on Saturday were both draws.

The two Greek sides left in the Europa League face a massive task if they are to progress from the last 32 as PAOK face CSKA Moscow and Aris face Manchester City.

Greece will have two representatives in UEFA’s Europa League round of 32 after Aris and PAOK both progressed continuing their good form in the competition.
