Two new dining precincts are set to reshape Ringwood’s food scene as top chefs exit the inner-city for shopping centre food courts.

Eastland has just announced its line-up of eateries due to open in October, which includes George Calombaris’ Jimmy Grant’s Deluxe – with an extended menu and table service.

“Jimmy is all about the people, so I can’t wait to bring it to the people of eastern Melbourne,” Calombaris said.

Frank Camorra’s taqueria Paco’s Tacos and heavyweight Huxtaburger are to join the Greek cuisine signature restaurant.

Eastland’s Town Square has been developed in partnership with Maroondah City Council, incorporating a library, art and history galleries, outdoor public spaces and a dedicated dining concierge to greet and direct guests.

Other outlets to follow Calombaris to Town Square include Gelatieri ice cream parlour next to Hunter & Barrel, which will serving skewers, soups and stews along with barrel-aged cocktails and craft beers.

Highpoint, in Maribyrnong, also launched its casual Level One food precinct, with six new restaurants, in an effort to reflect of the diverse community of Melbourne’s west.
