Ingredients:

1 kilo of course flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup ouzo
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup sesame seeds
Cinnamon
Honey
1 cup olive oil
Oil for frying

Method:

1. Mix together, oil, sugar, ouzo and flour in a bowl
2. When the dough is formed let it rest for one hour
3. Roll out into thin sheets either by hand or with pasta machine, cut into strips 30 – 40 centimetres long.
4. Heat the frying oil, then take each pastry strip separately, spear one end with fork spinning around and winding it as you put into the hot oil to fry
5. As soon as they are brown remove and drain on kitchen paper
6. When they are cooled down pour honey over them, sprinkle with walnuts and cinnamon
