Dora's recipe: Lahanosalata
Dora Kitinas-Gogos gives us her recipe for a very Greek style coleslaw
Ingredients
1/2 cabbage finely cut
1/2 red cabbage finely cut
1/2 lettuce finely cut
2 medium sized carrots grated
1/2 bunch parsley chopped
1 bunch dill finely chopped
1 red pepper cut into strips
1 small onion chopped
handful of chopped pickles
3-4 hot pickled chillies chopped
1/2 virgin olive oil
3-4 tablespoons white wine vinegar
juice of 1 lemon
salt and pepper
couple of capers
Method
Mix the ingredients all together in a big bowl and serve on separate plates.
* Add some seeds for extra crunch, play around with herbs or leave out the chillies, the variations are endless.
