To pin, or not to pin… A new addition to the constantly changing social media world has emerged.
Pinterest, while still a young company compared to giants Twitter and Facebook, is quickly catching up in the mere two years since the website was launched.
The Silicon Valley startup is akin to an online scrapbook, where users are able to ‘pin’ images or videos they find on the internet on to their personal ‘boards’, which other users can then see. Pinterest is unlike Facebook or Twitter as it’s about sharing your ideas and interests.
Interestingly, a large portion of its current users are female, which supports the whole concept of it being a scrapbook of sorts.
