Whether you’re craving a Frappé or celebrating a birthday, there’s a Kalimoji for that. But what exactly is a Kalimoji?
It was about a year ago when Greek American William Kreatsoulas was having a conversation with a fellow Greek and going through his emojis in an attempt to describe his souvlaki and Frappe experience, he realised that none of his i-Phone supported stickers matched the Greek staples.
Inspired by a comedian who had created his own iPhone Sticker Pack – let’s not forget the iconic Greek signer Kaiti Garbi and her Kaitogi that went viral last year in Greece – William decided to create his own emoji series.
With the help of a friend who is proficient in app developing, Kreatsoulas first started with an iMessage version which is the most widely used iPhone powered app. Completing the graphics took a lot longer, and the final product had not been completed until well into 2018 when he also decided on the name while working on the Kalimera sticker.
The Kalimojis app is downloadable on IPhone or IPad and easily added to iMessage via the Apple App store.
