Renowned Greek composer Yanni created a video tweet ahead of his performance at the Winter at Tantora Festival in Saudi Arabia. The festival, to be held at the archaeological site Al-Ula, is set to take place on 8 February.

In his video tweet, Yanni described the Al-Ula as “absolutely stunning” and said he was “very honoured” to be performing at the ancient site that once stood as the capital of the Arabian kingdom of Lihyan.

Ahead of the festival, Yanni has prepared a piece of music that is dedicated to all Saudis. The work, titled “When Dreams Come True”, was composed during his travels around 60 different cities. It is of particularly significant to the audience of Saudi Arabia as it taps into their own desires for their country.

“I want to remind them of their vision 2030. It’s their dream. It’s what they hope their country would become, what they want to see their country become,” Yanni  said.

“I think it is very appropriate to play it at Al-Ula and remind and encourage and inspire the Saudis to go after their 2030 vision, to go after their dream.”
