The relationship between mother and daughter is a sacred one; adoring, complicated, challenging and everlasting.

As mothers and daughters, we all connect with one another.

So, what is it that makes that Greek phrase ‘Μάνα είναι μόνο μία‘ resonate with us all? Maybe because a mother is the first one to know you, the first one to see you cry, the first one to love you, the first one to touch you, the first one to listen to you, to accept you, to challenge you, to forgive you, to cry with you, console you, defend you, question you, discipline and stay up late with you, worry about you, celebrate your joys and teach you compassion, integrity and patience…

Sad is anyone who loses their mother, their guiding light.

Kate, 11, with her mother Dimitra: “My mum is special to me. She is very supportive, and I feel completely comfortable going to her with any problems I have, as I know she will do her best to help me. She is also my personal hairdresser. She loves me with all her heart and gives me happy vibes.”
