Participants will also have the chance to visit important vineyards around northern Greece. The region hosts numerous indigenous and international grape varieties under diverse soil, climate and topography conditions, offering a variety of terroirs and wine styles. The area has been among the most innovative when it comes to wine production. In addition to technical visits, there will be a focus on the cultural and historical heritage of Thessaloniki. A two-day tour will provide an option to extend the meeting program by a combination of visits to sites of tourist interest.

The event is organised by the School of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), the largest university of Greece covering all academic disciplines from science to medicine to arts.
