The Greek Community of Melbourne’s (GCM) much-loved children’s school holiday program is back next month.

Situated at Alphington Grammar, the program designed by educators from the GCM’s language schools is suitable for children aged 4-11.

The program runs from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm, with the possibility of extending hours from 8.30 am to 3.15 pm to accommodate working parents.

Children will participate in activities and games that make up a multi-disciplinary educational program featuring interactive storytelling, puppetry, cooking, indoor and outdoor games, dance, and a host of other activities depending on their age.

The purpose of the program is to provide other stimuli through tradition, mythology, art and science.

Children are given the unique opportunity to participate as active listeners, to develop their critical ability, but also their written and spoken word, to communicate and to collaborate, to entertain through the breadth and variety of activities and to express themselves freely and effortlessly, always in Greek. And most importantly, to build friendships and make new friends through the wealth and power of the Greek language.

Program dates:
Week 1: Tuesday 2 and Thursday 4 July
Week 2: Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 July
