Fans of My Kitchen Rules (MKR) will have the chance to meet two of the show’s contestants at the Cyprus Halloumi Festival this weekend.

Season 10’s Mick and Jodie-Anne Barlow will be making a special appearance, and doing a cooking demonstrations using halloumi cheese on both days of the event, Saturday at 3.00 pm and on Sunday at 2.00 pm.

Hosted by the Cyprus Community of Melbourne and Victoria (CCMV) for the second time, the now annual event is taking place in East Brunswick.

There will be lots of food stalls offering traditional Cypriot dishes to try, and of course halloumi will be a key feature over the two days. Attendees will also have the chance to learn all about how halloumi cheese is made, with a presentation by Eleni Georges.

There will also be plenty of entertainment, with music by DJ Lefkios, AETOS Band, and dance performances by the ‘Periklis’ Hellenic Cultural Association of Melbourne, the Greek Community of Melbourne Dance Group, Pegasus Dance Academy and the Cretan Brotherhood dance group.

On Sunday, the Pontiaki Estia Dance Group and Pan-Macedonian Association of Melbourne and Victoria dancers will also hit the dance floor.
