Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a working lunch on Wednesday aimed at finding ways to promote Greece in various sectors.

“Up to now, the promotion of Greece abroad focused on tourism,” Prime Minister Mitsotakis said. “We must promote an overall image of modern Greece, a country of creative, economic and cultural development with a unique quality of life and environmental respect – a country that looks at the world with self-confidence.”

A specialised working group, “Repositioning Greece”,  aims to promote the country through several sectors and will coordinate with bodies in northern Greece on the trademark to be placed on Macedonian products.

The initiative is coordinated by Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Kostas Fragogiannis.

Members if the group include business people, academics, government officials, scientists and heads of cultural institutions that serve on the committee without compensation.
