Frankie Victor Prineas has been identified as the 27-year-old man who was stabbed in Charnwood over the weekend.

His name has been released after a suppression order expired.

His father, Victor Prineas, said he was proud of his son. “Frankie was a son that any parent would have been extremely proud of,” he said. “My wife and I would like to thank our entire family and our beautiful friends who are here for us in this most difficult time. Losing a child is not something any parent should go through and i would not wish this pain on anyone. We have attended the first day in court where we hope, ultimately, Frank will get the justice he deserves.”
