Fotis Dulos, the man charged three weeks ago with the murder of his estranged wife, has been pronounced dead. Mr Dulos is believed to have attempted suicide in his Connecticut mansion on Tuesday, seven months following the disappearance of his 50-year-old wife, Jennifer Dulos.

Police found Dulos unresponsive in his running vehicle insider the garage of his Connecticut home. They tried to revive him with CPR in the driveway of his home where they had gone to perform a welfare check after he had failed to show up for an emergency bond hearing that day.

After emergency services were given to him, he was flown to a New York City hospital where he was placed on life support.

His attorney Norm Pattis announced the death of Mr Dulos by carbon monoxide poisoning, who had been on house arrest while released from jail on AUD$8.92 million bond in early January.
