Over the years DJ Krazy Kon has developed a history of putting Greek music on to the Australian charts but he has even surpassed himself this week when his 24th album made number one on the iTunes Dance Chart Top 150 after just four days and is on the ARIA Top 20 Compilations Chart – a first that he claims for a Greek CD in this country.

His Greece Mix Volume 24: Classics Edition is one that is close to his heart as it features music that tracks the career of the Sydneysider DJ, music producer and promoter’s career from its early beginnings in 1994.

“This has been one of my favourite CDs to compile and produce. Nothing beats the classics so it was an idea of mine to deliver something different for the 24th album in my Greece Mix series,” said DJ Kon who began the series 15 years ago.

“I wanted to produce an album that reminds you of a place in time, a particular club, a group of friends, an island of Greece you visited. These are the songs I grew up with. When I started DJing in the club scene, this is what I would play.”

Since the early days, his career has taken him across Australia and he has headlined shows in the United States and New Zealand. As record producer, his Greece Mix series has become the bestselling series of Greek music in Australian chart history and is now a feature on mainstream music shop catalogues.

He is working with all the major record labels in Greece and has helped to raise the profile of Greek music worldwide. As a promoter he has hosted over 300 events in Sydney and over the last nine years he promoted the tours in Australia of a number of overseas based artists including Christos Dantis, Ilias Vrettos and Master Tempo among others.

In 2019, he worked with Greek star Master Tempo to release his track Diakopes sto Miami.

Krazy Kon is also on television as a music news presenter for Meraki TV on Foxtel.
