On 25 July, A-League’s Melbourne City confirmed goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis mutually agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

Mr Bouzanis joined the team in January 2016, made 57 league appearances and in 2018 he also had a loan spell with Dutch club PEC Zwolle.

Mr Bouzanis also contributed to Melbourne City’s 2016 FFA Cup victory along with the team’s finals runs in 2017 and 2018.

“I wish the whole club all the success in the last part of the season and let’s finish what we started. Let’s win this championship. I’ll be watching and supporting, THANK YOU,” he said in his most recent Instagram post.

Melbourne City will also be saying goodbye to midfielder Denis Genreau who will depart the club after the conclusion of his contract.

Mr Genreau made his senior debut in 2016 at just 17 years after graduating from the Melbourne City FC academy.

The midfielder racked up 11 league appearances during his three seasons at the club and also had  a season-long loan stint with PEC Zwolle in 2018.
