Delphi Bank welcomed the Victorian government announcement that banking and banking-related services have been classed as an essential service and are to remain open across the state which is under stage three and stage four restrictions.

A spokesman said the bank, which is part of Bendigo and Adelaide Banks, plans to keep its branches open across the state and provide a COVID-safe service to the community.

Keeping in line with state government requirements, staff and customers will be required to wear face coverings and comply with other measures unless they fell within one of the published exemptions. Bank staff will also adhere to other safety requirements, such as the use of safety screens, physical distancing and hygiene measures.

The spokesman said future branch network decisions would be guided by customer trends and the appropriate health precautions on a case-by-case basis.
