The Bachelor is heading into its final few episodes and audiences are trying to figure out who will ultimately win Locky Gilbert’s heart.

Greek-Australian Bella Varelis was the talk of the tabloids from early on in the season as her fairytale-esque entrance had everyone convinced she would be the one.

Much like every other season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, rumours abound about who makes it to the final and if they live happily ever after the cameras are gone.

The 25-year-old marketing consultant told TV WEEK that time spent with Locky outside of filming strengthened their connection.

“There were months between filming and Locky and I would FaceTime for hours a day. We just enjoyed each other’s virtual company,” she said.

At the moment there has been speculation that Locky and his new girlfriend have split during the lockdown but told the magazine that is not the case.

“I’m so happy and all I want to do is tell people how great she is,” he said.

At the moment it seems that maybe Irena Srbinovska continues writing her love story with the 30-year-old adventure tour guide after Bella and fellow finalist Bec Cvilikas were spotted out at popular Sydney brunch spot White Rabbit.

Early on in the season Bella and Irena were close friends, until in recent episodes where we saw Bella call Irena “manipulative b*tch”, for being under the impression that she was stirring up trouble behind her back.

It could just mean that Bella and Bec became good friends after filming (might be a little awkward for Locky), or perhaps the two women banded together after both being left heartbroken.

Not all hope is lost, as Bella said that she and Locky had expressed deep feelings for one another and know the weight their words carry.

“We’ve both said ‘love heart emoji you’ over text, but not the full sentence yet,” Bella said.

“Those three words mean a lot to me and Locky knows that, so it’s not something I take lightly.”

This week we will see Locky visit the ladies homes and meet their friends and family, perhaps we might be able to catch some more clues then.
